Summary

Responsible for facilitating initial level of care assessments and pre-authorizations for recommended services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducts screenings and level of care assessments, using clinical knowledge and skill level. 
• Facilitates appropriate admissions to all levels of care
• Makes appropriate referrals to community providers
• Completes assessment, admission and other paperwork for clients to start treatment in a timely manner
• Manage admission pre-certification with funding sources. 
• Expected to provide coverage for other clinical team members
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Licensure, Education, & Experience

• Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling
• Master’s level clinical licensure - LPC, LCSW, LSATP
• Preferred experience in within the mental health/ trauma, eating disorder, and substance use domains.
• Current CPR, AED and First Aid

The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs, stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must seldom lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
